New Dance Studio Debuts in Scotts Valley
Classes begin at Wings School of Dance next week.

A new professional-quality dance studio is opening in Scotts Valley.Â
Wings School of Dance celebrated its grand opening Tuesday with a Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting. The studio's first classes will be next week.Â
The office and lobby will be open starting Wednesday. Hours are 3-6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and classes start Monday, Sept. 16.
Owner Wendy Phillips has more than 13 years of dance experience. The new studio is located at #1 Camp Evers Lane in Scotts Valley.Â
Ballet, Tap & Jazz Class offerings:
Mondays: Tap I – 4:15, Ballet II/III – 5:15
Wednesdays: Jazz II/III – 4:15
Fridays: Ballet I/II – 4:15, Jazz I/II – 5:15
Creative Dance Class offerings:
Leaping Lily Pads Ballet & Tumbling, Mondays 3:15-4:00
Twinkle Tot Tap & Tumbling , Wednesdays 3:15-4:00
Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes are designed for dancers 7 and older. The classes incorporate kinesthetic, visual and auditory elements help kids of all learning styles. Students also learn about rehearsal and performance etiquette, according to the Wings School of Dance Facebook page. Classes meet once a week for one hour.
The Creative Dance classes are for dancers ages 4-5 and run 45 minutes.Â
