Fatal Motorcycle Crash Claims Felton Man
The man was ejected from his Harley-Davidson while driving along Highway 9 and crashed into a guardrail.
FELTON, CA — A 47-year-old Felton man died Monday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle on state Highway 9 in Santa Cruz County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, was riding a 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Highway 9 south of the entrance to Henry Cowell Redwood State Park at about 4:55 p.m. when he lost control on a turn and crashed into a guardrail, CHP officials said.
He was ejected from his vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash, according to the CHP.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
