Santa Cruz Firefighters Tuesday rescued a 60-year-old man who was fishing and fell off the cliff at West Cliff and Columbia.Â
He was 30 feet from shore when they arrived at 2:49 p.m., lying on a rock, with an injured head and shoulder. He had been on the rock for an hour, he told them.
Rescue swimmers and a Harbor Patrol boat got him to shore and an ambulance to him to a trauma center in Santa Clara County.
