Scotts Valley Good Samaritan Recovers $4000 In Lost Cash

SCOTTS VALLEY - A good Samaritan made the day a little brighter for someone in Scotts Valley this week.

According to Scotts Valley police, the citizen found the items - you can see the items spread out on the table in the accompanying photo - in a bank deposit bag that was accidentally left in a local parking lot.

Police say the good Samaritan brought the bag directly to their lobby, where Scotts Valley officers examining the contents found three checkbooks, two debit cards and $4,000 in cash.

Scotts Valley police say they were able to reunite the property with a very grateful owner, who had recently withdrawn the cash to pay some outstanding bills.
