Scotts Valley Resident Appointed to the California Commission on Emergency Medical Services
Nancy Gordon, of Scotts Valley, heads the Santa Cruz County General Services Department.
From the County of Santa Cruz: Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed Scotts Valley resident Nancy Gordon to the California Commission on Emergency Medical Services.
Gordon, 59, currently heads the Santa Cruz County General Services Department, and has an extensive background in emergency care and fire services. She was an adjunct instructor at the National Fire Academy from 1990 to 1995 and an independent consultant from 1986 to 2005.
“I am looking forward to representing the Central Coast community, particularly in view of national and state discussions on managed health care and the impact on emergency medical services,” Gordon said.

Gordon has a Master of Public Administration degree from San Jose State University. The position is not compensated.
