Scotts Valley Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Seizure, 2 Arrests
Police said Pamela Bright and Calvin Carlson were arrested Friday night.
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA -- Two people were arrested Friday night in Scotts Valley after allegedly being in posession of methamphetamine meant for sale. Police said the inciddent began when officers conducted a traffic stop on a car with a cracked windshield.
Pamela Bright, the driver of the car, was found to not have a license to operate the vehicle while a K9 alerted officers of a controlled substance, police said.
Police said officers found one-third of a pound of methamphetamine.

Bright later contacted Calvin Carlson, the father of her child, to retrieve his belongings from her car, which led to his arrest.
Carlson, a probationer, was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple quantities of methamphetamine, packaging material and a large sum of cash.

Both were arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale, and conspiracy, police said.
In total, more than 160 grams of methamphetamine was seized, police said.
