A small wildfire was burning in Henry Cowell State Park in Wednesday afternoon, authorities reported.
The blaze was first reported around 4:15 p.m. when people saw a white column of smoke above the woods near the Highway 9 entrance to the park, according to emergency radio traffic.
Fire crews found the blaze closer to Garden of Eden, a popular swimming home at the Felton park.
Several fire trucks, hand crews and a helicopter were called to battle the flames. No evacuations have been announced.
