Mother Arrested After 3 Children Stabbed To Death In LA
Police arrested a 30-year-old woman whose three children under the age of 5 were found stabbed to death in a Reseda apartment.

RESEDA, CA — Three young children under the age of 5 years old were found stabbed to death in a Reseda apartment unit Saturday morning, Los Angeles Police said. Hours later, the mother of the slain children was arrested.
Authorities began their search for 30-year-old Liliana Carillo on Saturday following the incident, officials said in a release. Carillo was taken into custody by the afternoon in the Ponderosa area of Tulare County, about 200 miles north of Los Angeles.
L.A. police have deemed Carillo a suspect, but have not ruled out other people.

Earlier in the day, police received reports that Carrillo was driving her car and heading north on Interstate 5 when she got into an altercation in the Bakersfield area. She abandoned her car and carjacked a Silver Toyota pickup, police said.
Los Angeles Police responded to the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, LAPD officer Rosario Cervantes told Patch.

The children's grandmother returned home from work and found the bodies of her grandchildren and the mother missing, Los Angeles police Lt. Raul Jovel said. After officials arrived, the three juveniles were pronounced dead by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Police said initial reports suggested the children had been stabbed to death, but no official cause of death has been released.
Jovel said investigators were still working to determine a motive.
