Andy Bonasera Named Head Lacrosse Coach at Notre Dame High School
All American Lacrosse Player to Lead The Knights into the 2018-2019 season

Notre Dame High School is proud to announce that Andy Bonasera as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse coach for the 2018-2019 season. Andy grew up in Ohio where he played at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio. Andy Earned 1st team All-State Attackman honors and Ohio All-Star honors in 1999. After high school, Andy played lacrosse at Roanoke College in Virginia. At Roanoke, Andy was a four-time Division III All American Attackman and received Division III First-Team All-American honors in 2003 as well as being Conference Player of the Year.
When asked about coaching at Notre Dame High School Coach Bonasera said, “I am thankful to lead the boy’s lacrosse program at Notre Dame High School this school year and to work at such a respected school. The Mission League is one of the strongest in the Los Angeles Area and it will be exciting for the team to compete for championships and to represent Notre Dame High School on the lacrosse field each spring!”
After Andy’s playing career ended, he served as a college assistant coach. Andy founded lacrosse programs at Mt. St. Joseph University, Birmingham-Southern College and Cornell College. As Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Birmingham-Southern, Andy guided the team to 43 Wins, 39 losses in 5 seasons with a 20-6 record in conference games over 4 seasons.

Coach Bonasera is passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the sport of lacrosse and will be a great addition to the Notre Dame High School Athletic Program.
