The Buckley School Announces Year-End Variety Show
The virtual show will include a special performance from the Fifth Grade Chorus and the Foo Fighters.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Although The Buckley School will not host their annual fair at the Santa Monica Pier this year, the school still found away to celebrate the end of the year. Buckley will host "To Buckley with Love: A Virtual Variety Show" on May 19, where students, teachers and more will put their talents on display.
Actor Ian Gomez will host the event, which will include a featured performance from the Foo Fighters and the Fifth Grade Chorus.
"It’s hard to believe there are only a few short weeks left of the 2020-2021 school year, which means my time as your Parents’ Association president will soon be over," 2021 Parents' Association President Lorie Lassner said in a statement. "The year imagined in September did not live up to our expectations but we made it and it was meaningful nonetheless. I would like nothing more than to celebrate the year and all that we have accomplished with our annual Fair at the Santa Monica Pier, but we just aren’t there yet. In true Buckley fashion, however, we will have a celebration one way or another!

Proceeds will benefit the Griffin Relief Fund, established in 2020 to provide immediate tuition assistance to families who were hit hardest during the pandemic. The school says nearly $800,000 has been set aside for coronavirus relief grants, with much of the money for those grants coming from the Fund.
