The Buckley School To Host 'Room For Change' Spring Dance Concert

Dances will focus on everything from friendship to identity to social commentary.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — The Buckley School's Drama/Dance department will host their first virtual dance concert this spring. The concert will be available to stream starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The concert, called "Room for Change," will feature 11 original dances choreographed and performed by students from grades 8-12. Dances will focus on everything from friendship to identity to social commentary, and seek to inspire viewers to reconsider how they view the world.

The school announced the concert with a special trailer to give fans a sneak peak into what to expect.

"This has been a year of tremendous change for all of us," the school said in a statement. "We’ve had to change the ways we interact and connect with each other, change the way we think about our world, and change the way we go to school and learn. We have also had to change the way we make and share art. But the arts must go on, and dance is no exception."
