CA 30th Congressional District: Brad Sherman Wins Re-Election

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Democratic incumbent Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) will continue to represent California's 30th Congressional District after defeating Republican challenger Mark Reed. The Associated Press called the race Tuesday night, after Sherman secured 72.1% of the votes.

The 30th Congressional District contains most of West San Fernando Valley, such as Sherman Oaks, Northridge, Encino and Woodland Hills.

Sherman (D-CA) took home 58.1% of votes in the March 3 primary. Republican Mark Reed came in at a distant second with 22.7% of votes, earning the right to challenge Sherman in the general election.
