SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Votes are starting to arrive in the race for California State Assembly District 46. Local voters are deciding whether Democratic incumbent Adrin Nazarian will continue representing the region, or if Democrat Lanira Murphy will replace him.

District 46 contains Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys and nearby communities.

Nazarian took home 69.7% of votes in the March 3 primary. Murphy came in at a distant second with 30.3% of the votes.
