SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Popular Mexican restaurant Casa Vega officially reopened today, after a lengthy hiatus. The restaurant picked National Margarita Day, February 22, as a fitting day to welcome back guests, offering $5 margaritas in celebration.

Casa Vega will seat guests at their tented outdoor patio, which features festive lighting and plenty of greenery to liven the environment. The patio first opened in July, although it was later closed in December when outdoor dining was suspended.

"We ask for your patience as we take a few weeks to recall our staff, review/implement all the safety guidelines, set back up our kitchen, cook everything from scratch, open up our restaurant/bar and two outdoor patios," Casa Vega said when announcing their reopening plan "Unfortunately, you can't just flip on a switch and open a restaurant. From day one, our priority has been the safety of our staff and customers. Second, was to create a beautiful outdoor space for our customers to do enjoy. Both things take time to do correctly."
