Casa Vega Teams With Chainsmokers For Another Charity Taco

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Casa Vega has teamed up with The Chainsmokers for a new charity-focused collaboration. Taco lovers and music fans can come together for a new combo of tacos and margaritas.

The Chainsmokers x Casa Vega collab includes a sparkling grapefruit margarita, and a papas taco with spinach jalapeno and crema. Profits will be donated to No Us Without You, a non-profit based in L.A. providing food for undocumented, back-of-house kitchen workers who have suffered due to the pandemic.

"Here we GO!!!! Margaritas & tacos for charity!!! Our friends The Chainsmokers are helping us provide food security for back-of-house restaurant workers in need," Casa Vega said. "Piñatas not included! A year of collaborations and giving back continues!"

Born in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, No Us Without You was launched by Va'La Hospitality as a way to aid undocumented workers struggling to feed their families in the pandemic. Based in Boyle Heights, the organization distributes over 100,000 pounds of food each week, providing pantry essentials and fresh produce to cooks, dishwashers and other back-of-house staff.

In March, Casa Vega linked with the Food Fighters for the "Foo Fighters Smoked Brisket Tacos," with a portion of profits also going to No Us Without You. The taco included smoked brisket, Mexican elote, spanish rice and refried beans.

Casa Vega reopened for outdoor dining on National Margarita Day, and now offers indoor dining as well with tables limited to 6 people from a single household. The restaurant says they installed HEPA filters throughout the restaurant and increased ventilation to allow for better air flow.
