Fire Breaks Out At Office Building On Woodman Avenue
The fire burned for nearly an hour before firefighters were able to call a knockdown.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A fire broke out at a two-story commercial building in Van Nuys Wednesday night, burning for nearly an hour before firefighters were able to extinguish it. The blaze happened at 7220 N Woodman Ave., a multi-use office building just off Sherman Way.
LAFD firefighters arrived around 10:09 p.m., and found the building had an exterior fire that had progressed to the building's interior.
"Fire concealed in the walls spread, presenting challenges in locating all of the fire," Nicholas Prange of the LAFD said. "Firefighters continue to expose wall spaces, extinguishing fire as they go."
