Fire Breaks Out At Van Nuys Apartment
A man received a minor injury while escaping the apartment, and was treated on scene by firefighter-paramedics.
VAN NUYS, CA — Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out on the top floor of a three story "garden-style" apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. The fire happened at 14955 W Saticoy St., near Sepulveda Boulevard, shortly before 2:23 p.m.
One man sustained a minor injury while escaping the original unit, and was treated on scene by paramedics. A total of 38 firefighters were called to attack the flames, and a knockdown was called after 17 minutes.
The cause of the fire was under investigation and the exact condition of the victim was unknown.
