The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council (SONC) is pleased to present “Marsha Hunt’s Sweet Adversity – A Life of Acting and Activism,” a movie that recognizes and celebrates her achievements and her contributions to both the movie industry and her community. On screen Marsha Hunt was a Golden Age of Hollywood movie star; off screen she was a passionate activist – and blacklisted as a result. Marsha Hunt is a Sherman Oaks resident and 103 years young.

Roger Memos, the film’s director, will be with us to share his experiences working with Marsha Hunt and will answer questions following the screening.
