Fundraising, Spending Ramps Up in Congressional Race

As the June 5 primary election for the new 30th Congressional District inches nearer, Democratic Representatives Brad Sherman, Sherman Oaks, and Howard Berman, Van Nuys, released their campaign finance statements on Monday, showing Berman holding a substantial lead in fundraising.

In the first three months of 2012, Berman has raised over $577,000, while Sherman has raised $202,000. 

However, the reports also revealed that Sherman leads Berman in cash on hand.

Sherman's cash totals $4.6 million, while Berman's totals $2.45 million.
