LAPD Searching For Assault Suspect In Sherman Oaks
A man is suspected of committing three separate assaults in Sherman Oaks since February, LAPD detectives say.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — LAPD detectives are searching for a man suspected of assaulting multiple people in Sherman Oaks in the past two months.
The most recent assault happened on March 9 when a woman was walking her dog near Ventura Boulevard and Murrieta Avenue. According to LAPD, the man grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground, while continuing to punch her and attempting to strangle her. A bystander later intervened, and the man fled through a nearby alley.
The man is also suspected of assaulting two other victims in February. According to LAPD, the first assault happened February 9 in the 13400 block of Moorpark Street, while the second happened on February 12 along Ventura Boulevard.

LAPD said the suspect was a 25-35 year old Black man about 5'6" and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with dark jeans and black shoes.
