LAPD Shoots Assault Suspect In Van Nuys
Officers were responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on a quiet street in Van Nuys.
LOS ANGELES CA — Los Angeles police shot an assault suspect in a residential Van Nuys neighborhood Friday morning.
The shooting occurred at 10:47 a.m. in the 7300 block of Aldea Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison. The location is a quiet residential row of single-family homes. Officers were called to respond to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, Madison said.
No officers were hurt in the shooting. Authorities did not release information about the identity or the condition of the suspect.

Paramedics arrived to the area at about 11:10 a.m., taking one person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
