Man Shot And Killed In Sherman Oaks, Suspect In Custody
A man described as the son of a homeowner told police he shot "a possible burglary suspect or auto thief" who was armed with a gun.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A man was shot and killed Thursday in Sherman Oaks, and the alleged gunman was detained, police said.
The shooting was reported about 5:30 a.m. in the 12900 block of Hesby Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Information on the identity of the fatally wounded man, who police said was in his 50s, was not immediately available. The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation.
