Notre Dame High School To Host New Optics Film Festival

The 19th annual film festival will feature an awards ceremony honoring student-made films across multiple categories.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Notre Dame High School will host their 19th annual New Optics Film Festival on Friday, showcasing the best student films the school has to offer. Winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony set to follow the film screening.

Industry professionals reviewed the various film submissions, scoring each entry before a judging panel selected the winners. Films were submitted in the following categories:

- News Broadcast

1st, 2nd and 3rd place films will be selected in each category.

On Saturday, New Optics will host "Break with a Pro" workshops, featuring composers from Wandavison and To All The Boys I Loved Before, along with foley artists from The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty. The breakout sessions will run from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
