Crime reports for last week were below average according to data from the Los Angeles Police Department.
In the seven days between March 10 and March 16, there were 2 violent crimes and 27 property crimes according to data from the Los Angeles Police Department that is compiled by the Los Angeles Times.
Over the past three months, Sherman Oaks averaged 2.4 violent crimes and 35.2 property crimes, so the past week is actually a reduction from the averages.
This week's rate of 4.4 crimes per 10,000 people is higher than nearby Van Nuys, but lower than Studio City and Encino.
