Police Blotter: Violent Crimes Down

There were three violent crimes and thirty-five property crimes during that period according to the LAPD data. Over the last three months, Sherman Oaks averaged 1.8 violent crimes and 27.4 property crimes per week.

Sherman Oaks has gone five consecutive days without a violent crime report.

This week's rate of 5.8 crimes per 10,000 people is higher than in nearby Encino and Van Nuys and lower than Studio City and Valley Village.

There are more than sixty-five thousand people living in Sherman Oaks according to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
