Police Blotter: Violent Crimes Rise, Property Crime Drops
During the week ending November 28, violent crime in Sherman Oaks increased significantly, according to data compiled by the Los Angeles Times.
In the seven days between November 22-28, violent crime increased significantly and property crime reports fell according to Los Angeles Police Department data that is compiled by the Los Angeles Times.
Over the past three months, Sherman Oaks averaged 1.8 violent crimes and 27.5 property crimes per week, so this week's 4 violent crimes were above the weekly average, while property crimes this past week, at 17, were below the average.
This week's rate of 3.2 crimes per 10,000 residents is lower than Studio City, Encino, and Van Nuys.
