Updated: Power Outage in Sherman Oaks Leaves 1,000 Residents in the Dark
Traffic signals on Van Nuys Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard were inoperative.

Around 1,000 Department of Water and Power customers in Sherman Oaks were without electricity today for about four hours, according to City News Service.
A resident said service began to be restored at about 11:15 a.m.

The power outage occurred at 7:22 a.m., said DWP spokesman Albert Rodriguez.
He said it was not immediately known when power would be restored.
