Property From Estate of Tony Curtis to Be Auctioned

Sherman Oaks crowd goes to preview the art, sculpture, costumes and hundreds of other items owned by Tony Curtis, which will be auctioned off Saturday.

Our "woman about town" at Sherman Oaks Patch is writer Barbara Sternig. If something hot is happening in the evening, Champagne Babs (her nickname) will be on it.

Be sure to contact us if you have something in Sherman Oaks that you think CB should write about.

This past Thursday evening, Barbara took a crowd of us Sherman Oaks types on a field trip over the hill to Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, where they displayed hundreds of items from the estate of the late actor Tony Curtis, who died last year at the age of 85.

The art, sculpture clothing costumes and even shoes belonging to Curtis will be auctioned off Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. at 9665 Wilshire Blvd.

We have no plans to bid on any of the property, but we thought you might enjoy seeing some of the personal things Curtis collected during a career that lasted over 60 years and involved more than 100 films.
