Sad News For Happy Place Museum As LA Shuts It Down: CBS

The pop-up museum that has a mission of bringing happiness to the world was shut down in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Happy Place, a pop-up museum in Los Angeles that has a mission of bringing happiness to the world, was shut down, according to KCAL9. Owners of the museum told the Los Angeles CBS affiliate that it was forced to close because of “permit challenges.”

The museum opened in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles with a goal of giving visitors a reason to smile and a place to snap "amazing pictures for your social media followers" to share happiness, its website states.

In an Instagram post, the museum wrote: "As many of you know, we are facing challenges which have forced us to close temporarily. We understand your frustration and are greatly sorry for your inconvenience. We want to keep you updated on our status and we have been focused on giving you the news we are all hoping for. As of this moment, we cannot confirm when the earliest day we can open again is but we will update you as soon as we have more news."
