Senior Center Threatened by Budget Cutbacks
The Sherman Oaks East Valley Adult Center is trying to raise $70,000 to make up for government budget cutbacks. Kickoff fund raising event on Thursday February 9, 10:30 A.M.
The kickoff fundraising event will be held at the Sherman Oaks/East Valley Adult Center at 5056 Van Nuys Boulevard.The center provides essential support services for homebound seniors (food, medical, transportation, and house cleaning) plus daily hot lunches on site and social opportunities for older adults.
There will be live music and a free hot lunch. Donations of $20 are encouraged.
