
Even though their older counterparts were stopped after an incredible winning streak, the 9-and 10-year-old Sherman Oaks Little Leaguers won the state championship in San Diego on Monday night.
An excited parent Bridget Stermer emailed Sherman Oaks Patch on Monday night about the great news.
It's the first Southern California championship that the team has ever one. They ended with a 20-1, 4-inning victory over Eastlake of Chula Vista at Chollas Lake Little League Complex in San Diego.
