SONC to Hold Second Vote on Il Villaggio Toscano

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council will vote for the second time whether to approve or deny the Il Villaggio Toscano project at Monday's SONC meeting.

Nearly a month after deciding to revisit its original approval of the Il Villaggio Toscano project, the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council will hold its final vote on the controversial development project at Monday's SONC meeting. 

At the May 14 SONC meeting, , which is located at the corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Camarillo Street, and incorporates 399 dwelling units and 52,000 square-feet of commercial use.

If the board votes to approve the project, the original plans would undergo several alterations. Most notably, the seventh and eighth floors of the project would be deleted, the project would be reduced by 101 dwelling units and the building height would be reduced to 75 feet.

In addition to the Toscano vote, Ron Macias of Metro Construction Relations will be on hand to update the community on the 405 freeway construction project.

The meeting will be held at the Sherman Oaks Elementary School auditorium and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
