Vacant Home Damaged By Fire Thursday Afternoon
Firefighters arrived to find items in an empty room engulfed in flames.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — An empty, one-story home was damaged by a fire Thursday afternoon. Los Angeles Fire Department responded to 14763 W. Vanowen St., near Kester Avenue, at 11:50 a.m., after receiving a report that smoke was showing from the vacant house.
Firefighters followed the heavy smoke to a room which had items on fire. Nicholas Prange of LAFD said 32 firefighters responded to the alarm, extinguishing the blaze in 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation. Other details weren't available.
