The organization held another "Feed Our Friends In Need" event this weekend.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — The Valley of Change and The Buckley School's community engagement group held a successful food giveaway this weekend. The two organizations passed out nearly 700 meals to homeless residents in Sherman Oaks for the "Feed Our Friends In Need" event.
Bags included fruit, sandwiches, chips, pretzels, water and more healthy items. The Valley of Change hosts meal distributions once a month, typically on the second or third Saturday.
"Yesterday we assembled and distributed 688 meals," founder Latoya Green wrote on social media. "The power of the people! A big thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out to help make this a success! Without your continued support, this could not happen!"
