VIDEO: Ventura-Woodman Block Party a Big Hit

Each of the more than dozen shops in the area of Ventura Boulevard and Woodman Avenue in Sherman Oaks took part Sunday in the neighborhood's annual holiday block party, which attracted a large crowd of shoppers, browsers and families.

Aimed at promoting businesses, the event gave people a look at some of the interesting gifts and other items available at local shops, while offering food, music and other activities. Sherman Oaks Patch Editor Doug Kriegel stopped by to talk to some of the shoppers and merchants (see the video).
