Woman Turns Herself In After Killing Pedestrian
The 18-year-old allegedly hit a Sherman Oaks another 18-year-old woman in a crosswalk, then returned to the scene before fleeing.
An 18-year-old woman wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left another 18-year-old woman dead in Sherman Oaks turned herself into authorities today.
Nysmuh Imann Taylor of Sylmar died about 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the scene of the collision near Moorpark Street and Matilija Avenue, where she and her boyfriend were attempting to cross the street when she was struck, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Arrested today on suspicion of felony hit-and-run was Lerone Natalia Herscu of Sherman Oaks, Officer Jack Richter of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section said.
Herscu was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, Richter said. The arrest was made by investigators with the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division, he said.

LAPD Sgt. David Delgado said the victim and her boyfriend had been dropped off at the location moments before she was killed. Delgado said Taylor was steps behind her boyfriend as they crossed the street.
Witnesses said the motorist returned to the scene to take a look at the woman before driving away west on Moorpark Street, according to Delgado.
