Alverno High School Presents "Our Town, "Our Story" at the Sierra Madre Playhouse

Alverno High School is proud to present a devised version of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” as “Our Town, Our Story” on Thursday, November 5; Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Sierra Madre Playhouse in Sierra Madre.

“Our Town, Our Story” incorporates the three-act play by American playwright Thornton Wilder. It tells the story of the fictional small town of Grover’s Corners through the everyday lives of its citizens, which have been interspersed with short stories of Alverno’s own students. The production builds on Alverno’s school year theme of “Sharing our Stories.”

The main cast of “Our Town, Our Story” includes junior Jillian Kislow as the Stage Manager, Karl Lorenzo (Arcadia High School) as Doc Gibbs, junior Arianna Muñoz as Mrs. Gibbs, Malik Gay-Banuelos (St. Francis High School) as Mr. Webb, senior Camryn Selayandia as Mrs. Webb, senior Jackie Quintero as Emily Webb, Andrew Vela (Cathedral High School) as George Gibbs, Riley Luna (St. Francis High School) as Wally Webb, freshman Maritza DiRito as Rebecca Gibbs, senior Aja Gerardo as Howie Newsome, sophomore Kate Samaniego as Professor Willard, junior Hanaa Zerroug as Simone Stimson, junior Marisa Dragos as Mrs. Soames, and freshman Claire Lewis as Constable Warren and Mrs. Carter. The student stories are being presented by junior Marisa Dragos, junior Lisa Costantino, senior Madison Carmenate, and senior Aja Gerardo.

Presale tickets to “Our Town, Our Story” may be purchased from the Alverno office for $10 and at the door at the Sierra Madre Playhouse.
