Burglar Attempts Break-In of Occupied Home
The burglar destroyed a window, but fled without getting inside, police say.
A burglar smashed the window of a home Saturday morning, only to flee after finding out people were still inside, according to Sierra Madre police.
Residents of the home on the 600 block of Holly Trail Path heard glass breaking, as window was broken "right off the screen," according to Sgt. Joe Ortiz. Someone inside the home yelled, Ortiz said, and the burglar ran off.
No description of the suspect was available, as the victim did not see the burglar, Ortiz said.
