Dim the Lights, Sierra Madre! Heat Triggers 2-Day Flex Alert

A flex alert calling people to cut back on electricity has been issued due to the hot weather.

The California Independent System Operator, which manages the state’s energy grid, has declared a “flex alert” for today and tomorrow, urging residents to reduce their power use between 2 and 9 p.m. due to high demand on the system in response to the heat.
