Ex-La Salle Star QB to Start at Boston College
Chase Rettig reportedly No. 1 on the Eagles depth chart.

Reports from Chestnut Hill, Mass., indicate that ex-La Salle quarterback Chase Rettig will open the season as the starting QB for Boston College.
A recent story in the Boston Herald details Rettig's rise from a freshman backup to a mid-season replacement at quarterback who helped lead the Eagles to a trip to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against Nevada.
Rettig threw for 3,800 yards and 40 touchdowns in two years at La Salle and earned All-Camino Real League first-team honors in 2007 and 2008. Rettig spent his senior year at San Clemente High School.

“I just feel like I’m at a level that I know what to expect and I know how to prepare myself. All the football stuff I feel I’ll be able to grasp, and that’s because of coach Rogers and what he’s been able to do with me, whether it’s been my footwork or play action or going through your progressions and checking the ball down.”
