Would you like to be financially free? Most people don't look at the long term. Here are some ideas about how to start.

One is pay yourself first. Have two savings: one for stuff which comes up like repairing the car and one for "only investing". Only investing is never spent; it is invested in what will grow, compound or return through cash flow products like real estate.

First, the person wishing to point you in a certain investment ought to be invested in some of the same investments and have a net worth equal or greater than yours. Speak to experts in each field. Don't take advise from friends, neighbors and family who are not highly successful in the particular arena. Surround yourself with success and successful friends.

State your goals in a positive statement. Set your goals quarterly. This may not be exciting as stated in the Patch article. So Have fun by popping some corn, putting on some music and inviting the family to input their ideas and obligations. They are all affected and all need to participate to be on the path needed for success.
