Laura C. Mitchell, 51, of Sierra Madre, CA, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving friends. She will be remembered for her humor, quick wit, and ever-positive attitude.
Laura was born in Liverpool, England to Jennifer (née Wright) and Lawrence Mitchell, where she lived until she and her Mum emigrated to America when she was 13. Laura graduated from Arcadia High School and received her B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona University in 1991.
Many years of her career were spent as the Director of a high-end Interior Design firm in West Hollywood where she combined her business savvy and design aesthetic to create magnificent homes.

She began her real estate career in 2000 with Coldwell Banker while simultaneously working as an independent designer. Her time in real estate gave her the opportunity to show and sell homes in the neighborhoods she loved and cultivate many irreplaceable friendships with her colleagues.
Laura is survived by her sister-in-law, Kara (Henry) Rillos, and nieces Rebecca and Colleen Rillos. She also leaves her Auntie Tess, cousins Catherine and Peter Gallagher, and many dear friends. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Rita Catholic Church, 318 North Baldwin Avenue, Sierra Madre, CA 91024.
