Police Blotter: Marijuana Possession, Laundromat Throwdown

Marijuana Possession
Monday, Dec. 12, 10:59 a.m. -- An officer stopped a motorist for a vehicle code violation at the 100 block of S. Baldwin Avenue. Further investigation revealed the motorist was driving without a valid driver’s license and was in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The motorist was cited for the violations and released on a written promise to appear in court.

Public Intoxication
Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2:19 a.m. -- Officers responded to a call of a distressed female pounding at the front door of a residence near the 100 block of E. Highland Ave., possibly in need of medical attention. Officers arrived and found the female under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for herself or others. She was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Pasadena Police Department jail for booking.

Fight at Laundromat
Wednesday, Dec. 14, 4:05 a.m. -- Officers responded to a call of a , between two adult females and the boyfriend of one of the females involved. Each party alleges that the other person pushed a cart into them. Officers found no injuries to either female. The battery investigation was forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for filing considerations.
Possession of Stolen Property
Thursday, Dec. 15, 6:50 p.m. – An officer stopped a motorist near Foothill Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue after the patrol car’s license plate reader system alerted the officer of a stolen license plate attached to the motorist’s car. The motorist admitted to stealing the license plate for the purposed of avoiding to pay the vehicle’s registration fees. The motorist was arrested and transported to Pasadena Police jail for booking.
Thefts
Saturday, Dec. 17, 8:23 p.m. – Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s wallet, $300.00 in cash, and a cell phone from the victim’s unattended purse near the 100 block of W. Sierra Madre Blvd. The total loss is valued at $125.
10:42 p.m. – Unknown suspect(s) stole a monitor screen from the vehicle’s backing up video system near the 100 block E. Mira Monte Avenue. The suspect(s) entered the unlocked vehicle parked in the street and stole the property. The loss is valued at $100.
