Alex Villanueva will be the new Los Angeles County Sheriff
With every vote count Alex Villanueva's lead grows

In the latest vote count released as of 11/12/18 Alex Villanueva has increased his lead by 22,192 votes with still an estimated 686,000 votes left to be counted. Reform, Rebuild, and Restore, has touched voters who are just tired of the way the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has been currently running under McDonnell. I began following and covering Alex since July of this year, The New Sheriff in Town, and I have to say that I knew he had what it took to win and become the new Los Angeles County Sheriff.

Going by the voting statistics I will say it here first before the final votes are counted that Alex Villanueva will win this election with at least 54% of the vote. Alex ran a very good and almost flawless campaign these past few months all the way up to election day. His message was clear and he never deviated from it. He has a great plan for the department that will rebuild from the ground up. It will take some time as change like this always does but the results will benefit not only the Sheriff's Department but the communities they serve.
McDonnell still hasn't conceded stating to Southern California News Group "We are in unusual times, I’m optimistic with that many votes left, this race can turn around.”

The lesson to be learned here is to NEVER underestimate you're opponent.
Congratulations again (Sheriff) Alex Villanueva.
