Boy Fatally Shot In East Los Angeles

Police were investigating an incident that left a juvenile dead on Saturday morning.

CUDAHY, CA — A boy was fatally shot in East Los Angeles early Saturday morning, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said.

Homicide investigators were seeking more information about the incident, which occurred at 12:26 a.m. on the 5200 block of Clara Street in Cudahy.

Deputies received a report of a "gun shot victim," police said. Upon their arrival to the area, they found a juvenile suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper torso, officials said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police did not disclose his age or any other details.
