Date Set for All-American Cities Business Expo in Lynwood

The cities of South Gate, Lynwood, Bell, Maywood and Cudahy will participate in The All-American Cities Business Expo, on Wednesday July 24, 2013. 

The expo aims to connect local business with the public in the Southeast L.A area.

The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Bateman Hall, located at 11330 Bullis Road in the City of Lynwood. 

Admission is free and there will be food, prizes and contests, according to organizers. 

South Gate and Lynwood are considered "All-American Cities", a designation given by the National Civic League, an organization, that advocates for transparency, effectiveness, and openness in local government.

The designation gives winning communities "bragging rights'' that can help them recruit new businesses, increase jobs and obtain grants for community betterment projects, according to the NCL website.
