Five Things: Obamajam, Social Media, National Night Out 2013

Here are five things to start off your Tuesday in South Gate and Lynwood: 

1. President Barack Obama will make a short visit to Los Angeles to appear to appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Traffic is expected to be heavy in some areas. Find out where here.
2. South Gate and Lynwood will be cloudy in the morning with a high 80, according to the National Weather Service. The evening is expected to be cloudier with a temperature of 60. 
   
3. Looking to find out about ways that you can grow your business? Today, State Senator Ricardo Lara and Facebook are expected to host a social media class in nearby Paramount.
4. Tonight is National Night Out 2013. Read about how Lynwood plans to celebrate. 
5. Nearly 50 people were arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) at a checkpoint in Long Beach Boulevard and the 105 Freeway.
