Lynwood Union, City of Lynwood Partner for Art & History Gallery
The grand opening is on March 4 from 10 am to 3 pm. It will create a connection between the City and its arts community.

From the Lynwood Union: History will unfold and be made as local grassroots arts organization, The Lynwood Union, hosts the grand opening of the City of Lynwood’s first Art & History Gallery.
Taking place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the grand opening of the Art & History Gallery will bring new life to the City’s historic landmark Train Depot building, located at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bullis Road. The grand opening will feature a day of live music, arts and crafts booths, food vendors and art pieces designed to bring the City’s history back to life – just as The Lynwood Union Facebook Page has done for its loyal Lynwood followers.
With the full support of the City Council, and its Recreation and Community Services Department, the grand opening will also create a connection between the City and its arts community – which includes dedicated arts students from Lynwood Unified School Districts and alumni. "We are ecstatic about this opening," said Mark Flores, Director of the City's Recreation and Community Services Department. "Partnering with The Lynwood Union on a couple of events, including an Art Walk at the Ricardo Lara Walking Park, art exhibits at the Lynwood Library and an End of Summer Festival, have proven to be a huge success and proves that our families love art and music. To use a historic building as an Art & History Gallery is a perfect way to celebrate the City of Lynwood.”
