Lynwood's New Director Of Public Works Original Text

Congratulations to Thomas Thornton, P.E, the City of Lynwood’s new Director of Public Works. He was confirmed at last night’s city council meeting.

Thornton has worked for the City for more than two years as a City Engineer and has been filling in as the Interim Director. In his position, he oversees the street improvement projects, maintenance of City facilities and property, maintenance of the City’s water system as well as administering the trolley buses, refuse collection and street sweeping programs.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Thornton has previously worked at the Western Municipal Water District and the cities of Adelanto and Hesperia.
