Man Found Shot Dead In Vehicle In Lynwood

A deputy discovered the victim early this morning.

LYNWOOD, CA – A man was found shot to death today in a vehicle that was parked on a street in Lynwood, authorities said.

A patrolling deputy saw the vehicle parked along a curb in the 10000 block of Long Beach Boulevard about 2 a.m. and stopped to investigate, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

"When the deputy contacted the driver, he observed the victim was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso,'' a sheriff's statement said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld, pending family notification.
